Remembered as one of the pioneers of Irish literature, James Joyce has yet another achievement to his credit. The house used in his work 'The Dead', has become a landmark of historical importance. The house is now open to the public who can imagine the characters of this musical that also opened off-Broadway in 1998. An art gallery has been introduced into this house to exhibit works of known and unknown artists and to promote creative talent in Dublin.

Teeling Whiskey Distillery was re-established to celebrate Dublin's historical association with Irish whiskey. Carrying forward a legacy of 230 years, they take pride in their delicious craft whiskey, producing small quantities of whiskey with inventive flavors. They have successfully revived the spirit of Irish whiskey, with some of the better known whiskeys from here like Single Malt, Single Grain and Poitin. The distillery is set up where the legacy began from and it offers its visitors, a chance to see what goes behind making some of the most delectable whiskies. They have a bar on their campus that serves freshly brewed Irish whiskey and light bites like delectable pastries, sandwiches and some yummy coffee in the cafe. Awarded the 2016 Icons of Whiskey Award for the Best Visitor Attraction of the Year, the place makes for a popular art exhibition venue.
