AMP by Strathmore is where you will find great entertainment in the form of music by highly talented performers. You can be assured of an entertaining time at this marvelous concert hall, which has played host to iconic performances from the likes of Hackensaw Boys, Emily Skinner, The Nighthawks and The Weight. From blues and jazz to the old fashioned orchestra, you can catch all your favorite live performances with your friends and family at this at this 2,800 square foot (260 square meter) concert hall. This hall functions on a first-come first-serve basis, so be sure to arrive well before schedule to claim a good seat.
What once stood as the historic Bethesda Theater in 1938 has now been transformed into a suave live music supper club. Still carrying the glory of the yesteryear, Bethesda Blues and Jazz houses a small concert hall that serves brilliant continental fare. While 300 seats are ticketed as dinner seats, there are an additional 200 performance seats made available later. Come and enjoy this acoustically enhanced wonder on a fine evening.
Located on the Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus of the Montgomery College, the Cultural Arts Center is a vibrant addition to the city's thriving cultural scene. Located inside Rock Creek Park, this amphitheater is a 4,200-seat outdoor concert venue. Located in a beautiful wooden setting and operated by the The National Park Service, it provides quality performances. A variety of musical concerts like jazz, country, reggae and rock are showcased here. The seats are very comfortable and the natural environment adds an interesting dimension to the events. Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, B.B. King, The O'Jays, and Smokey Robinson are some of the famous artists who have performed here.
Located in the University of Maryland, this Centre is a thriving hotpot. Measuring 318,000 square feet, this impressive venue rents its facilities, like the Dance Theatre and the Grand Pavilion, to both visiting performers and students. The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center can also be rented for private events, receptions, meetings and the like, as it contains spaces to accommodate 10 to 1100 guests!
